Great news! Lallemand Pharma has just received its ISO 13485 : 2016 certificate.
Why are we so thrilled and why is it so important, you ask?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental organization.
When a company is “ISO certified”, it means that an organization has developed, maintains, and continuously improves its business processes.
There are many different ISO certificates and Lallemand Pharma has just obtained the most important one for medical devices.
ISO 13485 is part of the family of Quality Management System (QMS) standards that ensure organizations produce quality products and services. Its main principles are:
- To adopt process approach
- Acting customer-oriented
- Ensuring employee participation
- To adopt continuous improvement approach
- Taking a realistic approach to decision making
All these principles aimed to demonstrate our organization ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
