The XXIV National Conference of Allergists, Pulmonologists and Clinical Immunologists took place in Lublin, Poland from the 8th to the 9th of September.
This year the main objectives, have been to take a closer look at the latest diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms in bronchial asthma, new GINA and GOLD guidelines, new issues related to allergen immunotherapy and bacterial lysates, molecular diagnostics, RS virus infections or StethoMe electronic handset. There will also be novelties in aerosol therapy of respiratory diseases, allergic rhinitis therapy and lung ultrasound.
In the frame of the Congress Pr prof. dr hab. n. med. Andrzej Emeryk (Department of Children’s Lung Diseases and Rheumatology in Lublin, Poland) delivered a lecture about “Probiotics and postbiotics in respiratory tract infection and allergic rhinitis” in which illustrated the latest results of the clinical trial “Symbiofilm-TAK” – an observational study assessing the impact of adding Healsea™ isotonic nasal spray to conventional therapies for the care of IgE-dependent allergic children with symptoms of acute infections rhinitis.
The hypothesis of the study was Healsea™ isotonic nasal spray used on top of conventional therapies for common could have improved symptoms more efficiently and without any safety concerns. Results showed a superior efficacy of Healsea™ isotonic nasal spray as add-on treatment to SOC for common cold Significant reduction of the total WURSS-K (Wisconsin Upper Respiratory Symptom Survey- Kids) over 10 days in the Healsea isotonic group as compared to conventional therapies and a significant less frequent intake of common cold medication (and with shorter duration) in the Healsea™ group (overall, antibiotics, decongestants, nasal/inhaled corticosteroids).
Demonstrated also an excellent safety profile of Healsea™ nasal spray in a population of young allergic subjects.

The 19th World Congress of Basic & Clinical Pharmacology 2023 is taking place in Glasgow from the 1st to the 7th of July 2023 and represents one of the main congress for clinical and pharmacology innovations.

Guido Ferlazzo (Professor of Professor of Immunology and General Pathology in the University Genova) delivered a lecture on “An exopolysaccharide from the marine bacillus licheniformis T14 (Symbiofilm) can prevent the adhesion of microorganisms to human nasal epithelial cells and impair biofilm formation”.

The last Scientific Meeting of Lallemand Pharma was organized in Paris – France , on August 30th, 2022.

The 36th Italian Society of General Medicine congress (SIMG) is taking place in Florence, in Italy from November 28th to 30th 2019. This is the main italian medical congress for General practitioners. The ambitious theme of 2019 year is “Projects and tools for the General Medicine of the future”.
In the frame of this congress, Pr Giovanni Di Perri (Professor of Infectious diseases, University of Turin, Italy) will give a lecture on November 28th during the session “Management of respiratory infections” titled “Respiratory infections: can we prevent them? How? The lecture will be moderated by Pr Guido Ferlazzo (Professor of General Immunology and Pathology, University of Messina, Italy). This session will be followed by the thematic on antibiotic resistance.

Family doctors are daily managing patients affected by respiratory infections, and have to take care of more and more patients with multiple comorbidities requiring quick and correct decisions. That’s why, prophylaxis shall be regarded as a part of the therapeutic arsenal in respiratory infections.
Our Italian partner, Zambon, will organize a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Event about “the prophylaxis and treatment of respiratory infections” in Turin, Italy, on September 14th 2019 intended for doctors specialized in General or internal medicine, diseases of the respiratory system, allergy or emergency.
